Hard to believe the Canon 1.3 crop pro bodies may be gone. Let's. See everyones favorite MKIV shots here. And a moment of silence amongst the forum.

i don't think i'll be getting rid of my anytime soon.. even if the 1DX were to replace one of my bodies, it'd be the 1DsIII...

and when CPS emails me about the 1DmkIV's nearing end-of-service, you can best believe I'll be replacing the shutter & any other parts proactively so I can hold on to this baby a wee bit longer =) honestly i don't think there's anything i can't accomplish photographically with a 1DmkIV, and a good chunk of the time, the results blow my mind..

edit: thought i had more BIF up on my blog, but guess i haven't gotten to them :P will add to this thread in a few days..

Mr. Markle should have been prohibited from posting before the second or third page, just to keep the bar low enough for the rest of us to post...

The first one (woodpeckers?) is stunningly beautiful; the foreground rock as launching point and the high/low poses of the two birds lift this one Way Above....
Great, Great Work, here...

My mkivs have changed the way I approach photography.

Knowing I get the shot.
Knowing I can get it in terrible lighting.

Af superiority over any camera I've used on canon's side this far.
Robust build.

Can't beat it.

I still have two mark iv's. as long as my photography team is as big as it is now, i don't foresee me getting rid of those.

my mk iv's have been w/ me thru many weddings, nature and wildlife experiences. i have one that has travelled the world and shot over 100 weddings. i would guess has about 300,000 shots on it.

here are some of my favorite wildlife photos from over the years:

I'll try and buy another low mileage model soon. I have no interest in the 1DX.

Thanks Ralph for the kind words. The lens used was an 18 years old Ef 500/4.5L, and about 30-40% cropped.

These are all spectacular examples of this unreal camera. I have my name in on a used one in the B&S board and if that falls through I know where there is a new one. Either way.....
