| Linear Batch Pro (LPbatch) FAQ - Back |
1) I am having trouble running the LPbatch actions. What am I doing wrong? - Back All LPbatch actions, including the 1D, D30, D60 and G2 LPbatch, include a custom made linear ICC profile. Make sure you install the ICC profile following the instructions emailed to you.
You must convert your RAW file using software that supports linear output. For example: Canon RAW Converter or BreezeBrowser.
The LPbatch actions should NOT be used with non-linear files. This will cause your resulting files to look washed out.
LPbatch was designed to take advantage and only work with LINEAR files. When converting your RAW file to 16-bit tiff, make sure you check on "LINEAR" before the conversion takes place. Linear files are very dark, however they are the right ones to be used with this action.
It is necessary to select a sharpening option when running the LPbatch actions. If no sharpening is desired, just select "no sharpening". If you do not click on any sharpening option, before playing the action, it will not work properly. This info is also included on the instructions file emailed with the action. |
2) How to run Photoshop in batch mode? (works for all FM actions) - Back Create a new folder and call it "source"
Create a new folder and call it "destination"
Copy the image you would like to batch in the source folder and leave the destination folder empty. The destination folder cannot be inside the source folder.
Open Photoshop. Go to File/Automate/batch. The below dialog box will open:

- On Set, choose the Action set. In this example we used the 1D CS PRO v4
- On Action, choose the Action set option. For example: MEDIUM intensity
- On Source, choose folder. Click on Choose and find the location of your "source" folder containing the images to be batched.
- Make sure you check: Check Suppress Color Profile Warnings
- On Destination, select Folder. Click on Choose and find your destination folder (empty folder)
- Click on OK. That is all.
