FM Web Presenter - WP

Although I have previously released tools developed for print work, now I am happy to announce new custom made actions specifically designed for web display. They are called FM WP (Web presenter).

When it comes to outputting digital files for the web, some photographers may have difficulty obtaining sharp and detailed resized files. FM WP and its automated routines comes to the rescue providing high image quality files with a press of a button.
These intuitive actions work with individual files or in batch mode and are currently compatible with 3, 4, 6 and 11 megapixel digital cameras like the Canon 10D, D30, D60, 1D and 1Ds
. (Nikon SLRs and other brands also supported)

Works with Photoshop 6.0, 7.0 or higher (PC and MAC) - Not compatible with Photoshop5.5, LE and Elements.

Here are the output sizes available for the Canon 1D WP action set:

What are the benefits of using the FM WP action compared Photoshop bicubic resizing?

The new FM WP actions will provide photographers with a variety of web output sizes without compromising image quality. Most known web resizing techniques discard important pixel information needed to output high quality files. However, WP technology will downsize your files while retaining a high level of detail with no additional sharpening necessary.

Please note: WP actions will not sharpen your images. However, the innovative, customized steps are designed to maintain a high level of detail and image quality when resizing your pictures for the web.
It's best to have your full size files completely edited (tonal/color/sharpen) before running WP.
Web Presenter is not compatible with "severe" cropped files.

Here is an example of the 1D WP (100% original file after resizing)

1D file - Normal Photoshop resize to 450 pixels at the longest dimension

Here is an example of the D60 WP (100% crop of original file after resizing)

D60 file - Normal Photoshop resize to 640 pixels at the longest dimension (100% crop)

D60 file - Using Canon D60 WP 640 (100% crop)
